The box comes with a docking station and power supply (the same one that ships with the Steam Deck).
Will it work with my monitor/TV/controller/peripherals?
Extensive testing ensures compatibility with a wide range of displays and peripherals. That said, there are thousands of displays and accessories out there that could be overlooked. please let me know.
Note: There is a known compatibility bug that is still being tracked. Some LG displays may experience visual noise during sleep/wake when the docking station is connected via HDMI. Another sleep/wake cycle or unplugging the dock cable will resolve. We are actively working to fix this bug and will provide a software update as soon as it is resolved.
Will using a docking station improve Steam Deck performance?
No, docking stations provide charging and connectivity, but no additional performance benefits.
I have a problem with my docking station. Where can I get help?
Any Dock updates?
As with Steam decks, it will be continuously supported and improved. Firmware updates may occur right out of the box. Running this update is as easy as plugging in your Steam deck and running the installation wizard.
Can the docking station be used without power?
Yes, the docking station will work without power, but due to the limited output power capabilities of Steam decks, USB port throughput will be reduced to save power.
Can I use a USB-C dock with my deck or do I have to get an official docking station?
You can use any dock you like. The work we’ve done to ensure Steam Deck and Docking Station compatibility extends to other 3rd party hubs and docks.
