Bank Event provides data security and environmentally safe solutions
Westerly, Rhode Island, November 10, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Washington Trust Company will host 12 Community Shred Days in 2022 resulting in 36 tons of sensitive documents including tax returns, financial statements and other materials for RI and CT residents was shredded and recycled.
The Shred Day event helped individuals safely dispose of sensitive information in an environmentally safe manner and raised awareness of fraud and identity theft prevention.

- During the spring event, donations of personal hygiene products were collected and donated to an organization called Amenity Aid. Amenity Aid is an organization dedicated to ending hygiene poverty by collecting and distributing personal hygiene products to direct service agencies throughout RI. - The fall event raised a steady stream of food donations to support hunger relief efforts at local food pantries ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
