    UAE: New digital platform launched to allow businesses to recycle – News

    The UAE’s first free door-to-door recycling mobile app service (RECAPP) has celebrated its second anniversary with the launch of the UAE’s first B2B digital recycling platform.

    GoRECAPP.com will enable UAE businesses to deploy recycling bins on their premises and offer digital solutions adapted for retail stores, offices, schools, sports venues, hotels, restaurants and other types of organizations . RECAPP announced the launch yesterday at the 25 Hours Hotel to his audience of over 100, including his C-level executives in the F&B industry, sustainability leaders, retailers and media.

    RECAPP was launched in November 2020 by Veolia Near & Middle East, a benchmark company for environmental change, as the first recycling app in the UAE to collect plastic bottles and aluminum cans free of charge from your doorstep.

    Today, RECAPP has turned into a comprehensive digital recycling solution for both individuals and businesses.

    Businesses can order a one-time recycling bin or sign up for weekly collection on GoRECAPP.com. There are many options available for recycling bins aimed at small waste streams that are not normally well collected such as plastic bottles, cans, paper, coffee capsules, e-waste, batteries and light bulbs.

    RECAPP now also offers a branded program for businesses to deploy recycling boxes in their own stores or those of retail partners to collect used products brought back by consumers.

    In addition, GoRECAPP.com includes blogs that discuss important topics related to sustainability and share tips on how to adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle.

    Since its launch two years ago, RECAPP has built a community of over 40,000 registered users, collecting 500 tons of recyclable materials and over 25 million bottles and cans. On average, RECAPP says that in one week he has completed 2,300 collections, and so far he has received 115,000 collections, weighing more than 5.5 kg per collection, with a rejection rate of less than 4%.

    Today, RECAPP has bins in 40 schools to raise awareness of recycling among younger generations and offers practical ESG solutions for brands and businesses in its 50 offices. In addition, he already has six brand owners namely Agthia, Rainbow, Nestle, The Coca-Cola Company, Borouge and Spinneys to join hands with RECAPP to promote local recycling reflections. RECAPP has also enlisted 18 rewards partners, such as Carrefour, Al Ain, Noon, etc., where users can redeem their points, and to date, they have provided over 35,000 promotional his vouchers to promote positive and environmentally We encourage thoughtful behavior.

    Next year, RECAPP aims to work with local governments and government authorities to make the digital tools available to other waste collectors, enabling the expansion of RECAPP services to additional geographies.
