    Toyota Super Recycling Day this Saturday | News

    The annual Toyota Super Recycle Day is Saturday, October 29th from 9am to 2pm.

    Look for signs leading to Gate 1 at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky. This service is for Scott County residents. We do not accept commercial or business waste.

    Acceptable household waste includes: batteries, mothballs, paints and thinners, furniture strippers and finishes, transmission fluid or antifreeze, solvents and degreasers, nail polish, polish removers, oven and drain cleaners, metal polish. Rust removers, other cleaners, rugs and upholstery, all-purpose cleaners and polishes. Collection sizes are limited to 5 gallons for liquids and 40 pounds for solid metals.

    Acceptable electronic waste includes televisions, personal computers, laptops and printers, CPUs, monitors, modems and keyboards, ink cartridges, remote controls, power cables, mobile phones, cordless phones, pagers, and electronic games.

    A document destruction service will be available.

    Items that are not accepted by TMMK but have a separate disposal location include:

    —Motor oil, 5 gallon limit, bring to Walmart Tire Center, Advance Auto Parts, Autozone

    — For large appliances, contact Rumpke Service at 1-800-828-8171.

    —Tires, Ken Towery, 131 Southgate Drive, 502-863-6784, $3 per tire, no wheels or Georgetown Goodyear, 1007 Lexington Road, 502-863-5030, $2.50 depending on tire size, or Discount Agent Drop off at 113 Larson Drive, 502-570-8361.
