According to a National Confectionery Association survey, 75% of people plan to celebrate Halloween this year, and 93% of those plan to have lots of chocolate and candy. It’s great to hear that people are eager for Halloween, but that’s why so many empty candy wrappers come out.
Luckily, Giant Candy Mars has partnered with Rubicon Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of digital waste and recycling solutions, to offer a unique solution to the not-so-sweet candy wrapper dilemma. They’re joining Rubicon’s existing trick or trash campaign to give away recyclable trick or treat bags.
Here’s how the bag works: To recycle your empty candy wrappers, place them in a trick or treat bag and use prepaid postage to mail the bag and its contents for recycling.
“Mars and our lineup of iconic brands put the consumer at the center of everything we do, especially in the biggest moments like Halloween. The Trick or Trash bag is an easy way to minimize packaging waste,” said Tim LeBel, Mars Wrigley’s Chief Halloween Officer and President of Sales, in a statement.
Visit Halloween.Mars.com to pick up a recyclable trick or treat bag. The bags will also be distributed to the following cities:
Cleveland, Tennessee
henderson, nevada
