OREGON — The Ogle County Solid Waste Management Department (OCSWMD) will open a residential electronic office on Friday, October 28 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (please note the time change) in the County Annex Building at 909 Pines. Organize equipment recycling events and food drives. Oregon Road.

Items accepted at this event include all televisions, computers, monitors, computer hardware and cables, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, printers, desktop copiers, fax machines, DVD/VCRs, stereo equipment, radios, boomboxes. , video game equipment, and telephones. systems, holiday light strands, rechargeable batteries, and various other electronics. A microwave is available for a $5 unit fee. A comprehensive list of permitted items will be included in the permit. Limit 7 large items per permit. Please note the time change. The event runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Materials submitted after 1:00 pm will not be accepted.
Items such as vacuum cleaners, fans, heaters, dehumidifiers, appliances, lights, smoke detectors, motors/pumps, coffee makers, grills, toasters and bread makers are not accepted at this event. Business or institutional electronic devices are not accepted.
Remember the underprivileged in our community and bring non-perishable food to events that will be donated. All donations will be distributed by OCSWMD to local food panties in Ogle County. Accepted items include food in unexpired cans and jars, and boxed food. We also accept household items such as sealed toothpaste, soap, cleaning products, laundry products, and paper towels.
