Green Creek Township Suspends Recycling Program
GREEN CREEK TOWNSHIP — Green Creek Township’s Aim to Be Green Recycling Program, funded by OSS SolidWaste District, will be suspended as the Township considers alternative sites for the program.
The current site was bid by the Township and will have a structure created as a salt barn for road works.
Township residents can optionally price and set up recycling services themselves by calling Rumpke Waste and Recycling Services, the recycler currently used in the district.
Wednesday, October 19th will be the last day to bring in recyclables in Green Creek Township, Sandusky County.

Meet Wightman’s Grove Conservancy
Riley Township — The Wightmans Grove Conservancy District will hold a special meeting on Saturday, October 22nd at 11:00 am at 210 2113 County Road. This meeting is held for general district purposes.
SCEDC Receives $7,500 Small Business Grant
FREMONT — Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) received a $7,500 grant from the US Bank Foundation for small business programming.
SCEDC has updated its strategic plan for the next five years with a focus on spurring new economic growth and development to take Sandusky County to the next level. By focusing on business retention and expansion, workforce development, removing barriers to growth, business recruitment and attraction, small business development and growth, and communications and marketing initiatives, Sandusky County Our mission is to improve well-being.
This grant will provide support to continue offering the SizeUp Sandusky County program free of charge on SCEDC’s website, available 24/7 to small business owners. SizeUp Sandusky County helps small business owners by providing quality market research and business insights. Small business owners can determine the percentage of successful companies in their industry, so they can decide if they need to expand to another location or where they should conduct targeted marketing campaigns I can do it.
