Webb City, Missouri — Starting tomorrow, the Webb City recycling business will have a new home.
The trash can is being moved from its current location at the Webb City Public Works facility to a space next to the wastewater treatment facility.
The change allowed the city to set four-day business hours and allow city officials to answer questions on-site and distinguish between what is permitted and what is not.
Public works sites are not monitored and cause many problems.
“We had a lot of problems with people making it a dumping ground. I couldn’t, so I figured the whole system would be better by putting things in new places in gated situations, like employees helping put things where they belong.
The new site is located at 2100 North Madison Street.
Open Tuesday-Thursday from 3-7 PM and Saturday from 9-2 PM.
