    The City of Yuma’s drop-off program for recycling live Christmas trees begins Tuesday, December 27.

    The Christmas tree can be dropped off free of charge in the Yuma Civic Center east lot at 1440 W. Desert Hills Drive, adjacent to Desert Sun Tennis Courts. Drivers must use Desert Sun Drive for inbound traffic from Avenue A and Desert Hills Drive for outbound traffic.

    Hours for the Christmas Tree Recycling Program are 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays from December 27th through January 6th, 2023. However, city facilities will be closed on January 2nd in observance of New Year’s Day.

    Remove all lights, ornaments and tinsel before removing from the tree.

    Artificial trees are not accepted.

    Materials from trees are scraped and reused.

    For more information about the city’s Christmas tree recycling program, residents should call 928-373-4504.

    City and county residents may park trees at the North Gila Transfer Site, Avenue 7E and County 5th Avenue in Yuma County from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays from December 27 through January 31, 2023. can be dropped off. For questions only regarding the use of this site, residents may call 928-341-2500.
