The Mackay School of Geosciences and Engineering, the John Mackay Club, and Redwood Materials will host a battery collection event on November 16 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This group will collect lithium and rechargeable batteries and devices, and nickel-metal hydride batteries at the Gateway Plaza outside the Joe Crowley Student Union.
Acceptable rechargeable devices (those containing batteries) include:
- cell phone
- Laptop
- tablet
- cordless power tools
- electric toothbrush
- inhale vape
- wireless headphones
- car key fob battery
- battery for rechargeable vacuum cleaner
- Other rechargeable devices with lithium-ion batteries
