FirstBank celebrates 10th anniversary with giveaway event

The bank will partner with local nonprofits and small businesses to host events ranging from pet adoptions and free breakfasts to fulfilling local teachers’ wish lists, bank officials said.
FirstBank kicks off the celebration by painting murals in each of its Roaring Fork Valley branches, inviting community members to suggest acts of kindness to their friends and neighbors. Over the next few months, the bank will collect good deeds to spread its “bank for good” philosophy across the community, according to bank officials.
FirstBank will also host a week-long activation that allows members of the public to nominate their favorite local Colorado Gibbs Day nonprofits to receive a lump sum donation of $1,000. The poll, named Give Where You Live, features nonprofits ranging from animal-related and education to health/mental care and environmental groups.

Pitkin leads state county recycling and composting
