SYRACUSE FAIRGROUNDS (WSYR-TV) — Due to new recycling regulations, Sunnking is hosting perhaps the last major electronic recycling event at the Syracuse Fairgrounds.
On October 29th from 8:30am to 12:00pm, you can drop off your electronics for recycling when you enter Gate 6 at the New York State Fairgrounds.
Drop-off time slots are limited and you must register by 4pm on October 28th to sign up for the free event.
More than 1,300 residents have registered for this weekend’s event, according to Sunking, making it their last chance to recycle their electronics at the drive-thru before the holidays.
Acceptable electronic devices are:
- Computer
- monitor
- Computer accessories such as mice, keyboards, webcams and speakers
- Cables and all IT accessories such as hard drives, SD cards and memory cards.

Sun King does not plan to have a large drop-off event in 2023 due to new state regulations. However, starting November 1st, all drop-offs to partner sites will be free. Click here to find a local location.
Sunnking President Adam Shine said: “While we are excited to have more sites available for free, with access to more drop-off locations, there is still a need for large-scale events like we have had in the past. Huh? I want to see the reaction.”
