According to a city news release, Dothan City Environmental Services employees are conducting garbage and recycling cart audits through February 2023.
Environmental Services, a division of the city’s Department of Public Works, began auditing trash and recycling carts on October 24 and plans to continue audits through February 2023.
According to the news release, the two-person team will drive through residential areas within the city limits of Dothan, recording cart quantities, cart conditions, and cart serial numbers. Team members wear City of Dothan uniforms and drive City of Dothan vehicles (pickup his trucks or parallel vehicles).
All audit activities will be conducted on the day of the garbage and recycling collection service. This means that the team collects all data from the roadside and makes every effort to avoid encroaching on residents’ yards during audits.
