CPPJ to collect recyclable e-waste Nov. 5

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) – Calcasieu Parish Police Jury will host an E-Waste Recycle Drive on Saturday, November 5th.

The collection point will be located at 5500-B Swift Plant Rd from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Lake Charles, and 2915 Post Oak Rd. with sulfur.

The drive is only available to residents of Calcasieu and ID is required.

The following items are accepted:

• Computers, monitors, keyboards and accessories
• printer and copier
• fax machine
• Laptop
• tablet
• tv set
• Video deck
• DVD player
• stereo
• home, office, cell phone
• Other related home appliances.

The following items are unacceptable:

• smoke detector
• fire alarm
• dehumidifier
• Large appliances such as refrigerators
• Medical equipment
• Units containing sludge or liquids.
