Plastonix systems are inexpensive, ultra-low carbon, energy efficient and simple. The process uses non-toxic chemicals that are organic and inherently environmentally friendly. It is a unique, tested and proven plastic recycling system that fuses all kinds of plastics into recyclable and non-recyclable, fused intermediate products. This product can be turned into a processable chip or powder material.
It can be further reused as a filler or parallel material for virgin plastic resins, or transformed into composite materials such as:
- pavement
- construction block paver
- tile beam
- seat
- board
The company uses technology that utilizes an injection process that does not require sorting, washing, or recycling, depending on the situation.

This patent-pending technology can process all kinds of “petroleum-based materials”. The term petroleum-derived feedstock refers to petroleum-derived feedstocks that are processed in petroleum refineries. Plastonix systems can process multiple types of petroleum-based materials at once. At least 10 different petroleum-derived materials can be combined at once, all at the same time during the process.
Materials include those naturally occurring in petroleum, such as paraffin waxes and petrochemicals of synthetic origin. The system can also handle all kinds of contamination levels, morphologies and/or mixtures of materials.
Plastonix can process materials such as:
- disposable plastic shopping bags,
- plastic straws
- filler reinforced plastic
- Elastomer
- Neoprene
- asphalt shingles
- Plastic containing flame retardant
- rubber
- Auto parts
One highly destructive petroleum-based material that the Plastonix system can process is Styrofoam. This is a toxic level of petroleum products that is often associated with soil degradation and disease.
Overall, materials may be washed or not, sorted or not, and may be a mix of unsorted and waste plastics.
