Philadelphia (WPVI) — The Philadelphia Street Authority has launched an annual Christmas tree recycling program.
Trees can be deposited at any of the following 6 Sanitary Convenience Centers:
1. Northeast Philadelphia: 8401 State Rd
2. Northwest Philadelphia: 320 Domino Ln
3. Port Richmond: 3901 Delaware Ave
4. Southwest Philadelphia: 3033 63rd St
5. Strawberry Mansion: 2601 W Glenwood Ave
6. West Philadelphia: 5100 Grays Avenue
Trees can also be removed at 13 designated locations on Saturday, January 7th and Saturday, January 14th from 9am to 3pm.

2. 43rd Street & Powellton Avenue.
3. Broad Street & Christian St.
4. Custer Avenue & Foulkrod St.
5. 1400 Cottman Ave. (Jardel Rec.)
6. 15th Avenue & Bigler St.
7. Corinth Avenue. & Poplar Street
8. 7901 Ridgeway St. (Fox Chase Rec.)
9. American Cent & Thompson Street
10. Graver Ln. & Seminole Road
11. Cathedral Street. & Ridge Avenue.
12. Washington Ln. & Ardley Street
13. 4800 Wayne Ave. (Happy Hollow Rec. Ctr.)
The tree should be untied and unadorned.
The city sends them to vendors who tip them up as bulking agents for composting.
The recycling program will run until Saturday, January 14th.
Wilmington Tree Recycling
Wilmington, Delaware also offers residents the opportunity to recycle their Christmas trees.
The city will begin collecting discarded Christmas trees on regular recycling days throughout January.
Starting this week, residents will be required to place trees on curbs for collection without decorations, lighting, or tree stands.
Trees must be brought to the curb between 6:00 pm the day before collection and 4:00 am on the day of collection.
Wilmington residents bring trees to the Delaware Horticultural Center (DCH) parking lot at 1810 North Dupont Street Saturday, January 7 from 9am to 2pm for the annual TreeCycle event. can also do.
