    Bourbon Town Council Approves Trash & Recycling Contract wth Borden Waste-Away

    The Bourbon City Council met in a special session on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, with the aim of awarding a three-year garbage and recycling contract. The proposal was made public at the regular Town Board meeting on 11 October.

    Apex of North Judson offers $19.95 per month for year 1, $20.95 for year 2, and $21.99 for year 3. Republic Service, $16.25 for the first year, $16.90 for the second year, $17.58 for the third year. GFL Environmental of Michigan did not meet the proposed specifications and was not considered.

    Elkhart’s Borden Waste-Away offered $15.83 in year 1, $16.61 in year 2 and $17.45 in year 3.

    The Bourbon City Council has awarded Borden Waste Away in Elkhart a three-year contract for garbage and recycling services. Due to a contract with Borden Waste-Away, a Bourbon resident will only get 0.56 cents a month more in his first year.
