In a survey of 2,000 skincare users in the UK, the high street retailer added that 74% of consumers surveyed did not fully finish their products before recycling them. Reasons given were that the product was “not suitable” for users (27%), leveled off later (18%), or a more exciting new product superseded the original. (26%) and so on.
The survey found that the Northwest prioritizes skincare recycling the most, with just under a third (30%) of respondents saying they always recycle their packaging.
The Body Shop called on more consumers to turn to reusable packs and check packaging before recycling.
