Noel, Missouri — Residents of Noel and the surrounding area have a new recycling option thanks to a new recycling trailer in the parking lot of an old “Harps” grocery store off Main Street.

“Wow” Noel’s holiday tradition goes from strength to strength, one stamp at a time

This was made possible thanks to a grant created by Noel Elementary students under the guidance of Title 1 teacher Christy Smith.

Mayor Terry Lance also played a role in the process, calling the addition a game changer for the community.

“Recycling is always changing, always growing, and I am a total believer in that. Everything in the world that can be kept out of the landfill is so much better on its own,” said Terry Lance, Mayor Noel.

“The second goal is definitely to educate everyone in our community on how they can make a difference and have a positive impact on the environment and their lives. It’s a land, so the goal is always to grow,” said Christy Smith, Noel Elementary School teacher.

Noel City has started an annual tradition of stamping Christmas cards from around the world.

The mayor of Lance also said that since taking office last year, the desire from residents for good, positive change has continued to grow.
