Clinton-Bill McHugh saw a need and jumped at the chance to fill it.
Now living in Lancaster, the 25-year-old runs a business called McHugh Junk Removal.
Nashoba alumni play sports, work delivering pizzas to TC Landos, and have friends throughout the region.
“In October 2019, I started McHugh Junk Removal as a weekend side job to make extra money,” says McHugh. Business has been going well and we are now working with our clients to make them junk free.
McHugh Junk Removal Services include Lancaster, Clinton, Bolton, Sterling, Berlin, Boylston, West Boylston, Stowe, Hudson, Maynard, Acton, Marlborough, Leominster, Fitchburg, Rutland, Shirley, Air, Gardner, Boxborough, Serving most of the area including Shrewsbury. , Northborough, Harvard, Holden, Princeton, Worcester, Lunenburg, Townsend, Lyttelton, Sudbury, and much of the surrounding area.
The company has a store on Stirling Street in Clinton. McHugh said his two full-time employees, Tony Pender and his Bruno Carvalho, “get it done on a daily basis.”
McHugh can work with clients to declutter their homes and businesses and get rid of unwanted items.
“Often times, when people are selling their homes, they realize they’ve accumulated years of junk and call in to clean out their homes before they ever put them on the market.” We work with many real estate agents and property managers to undertake eviction and foreclosure cleanup.We also do single item pickups, so when our customers get their new sofas, they will call us to remove the old sofa.”
Garage, attic and basement cleaning are currently the most popular services.
“As spring approaches, everyone starts spring cleaning, so we get a lot of calls asking for these. It’s very common when you notice,” he said.
Not all are discarded.
“We donate to Caring is Sharing on Plain Street in Clinton. We deliver them well-used furniture and other items that can be reused,” McHugh said. It is great to know that they are taking care of their communities by providing warm food and clothing to those in need.We are doing our best to donate to them as much as we can.
The company’s philanthropic efforts don’t stop there. They find ways to give back to the community.
“In February we donated to the Sterling Storage Solutions Diaper Drive. We try to choose a charity to donate to each month,” he said. “Recently, we gifted a father and son who won a Facebook giveaway a pair of opening day tickets to Mass Pirates Arena football. I’m going to give away his WooSox tickets for.”
McHugh likes that his company isn’t just trash.
“Our philosophy is: to help reclaim space while giving customers a positive experience,” he said. “We show up with clean trucks, professional and respectful staff, and haul unwanted items out quickly and efficiently. I am happy to be able to return to ”
