VALDOSTA – The City of Valdosta’s Sanitation Department’s garbage collection schedule will be altered to comply with the holidays.

The city of Valdosta will be closed on Monday 20th June in honor of the Juneteenth holiday.
The cleaning section will not collect garbage on June 20th. Citizens who normally collect hygiene products on Mondays are required to put all garbage (green bins), yard waste and junk on the side of the road by 5am. Collected on Tuesday, June 21. The Sanitation Department will service both Monday and Tuesday routes on Tuesday, June 21.
The Public Works Department thanked the public for their cooperation and patience, and sanitary workers are doing their best to welcome more than 7,000 customers on Tuesday.
