Reddit these days is a fun source of discussion and friend-finding. It’s honestly one of my favorite sites to go to when I need a laugh or some entertainment.
Just read the post there and it wasn’t funny or funny. I was just scared.
You’ve probably never heard of it unless you jumped on Reddit to take a look.
A few days ago, a person reported being within Dollar General, Georgia on the 10th. They said they saw a man point a gun at the head of one of the employees as they were walking around with his daughter.
They left quietly, looking for a way out of the store to protect themselves. They found an emergency exit that allowed them to get out of the store and thought they were safe.
As they approached the emergency exit, they noticed something that interfered with their plans to escape.
The door was zipped shut and locked.
Now, before we go any further on this, it is absolutely illegal to lock an emergency exit from the inside. I think an emergency exit should be one of those push doors that can be locked from the outside and pushed open from the inside.
Locking the emergency exit completely defeats its purpose. Anything considered an emergency exists as an escape route, whether it’s a fire or, in this case, a robbery.
The user went on to say that he was able to enter the restroom safely to avoid being seen or spotted by someone with a gun. While they were in the restroom, there was a customer trying to leave the store and the gunman supposedly opened fire.
The user continued what happened with the rest. You can read about it here.
I have a few questions here. The first is why the emergency exit was locked by him two different ways and the second is why this wasn’t in the news. I don’t question the validity of the story at all, but something like this would make you think the police are looking for help in finding a suspect.
Either way, it’s a horrible story that shouldn’t have happened.
