bulk item pickup
Improved housing estates allow 4 cubic yards of bulk item pickup per week. The item must come from an improved property that has an annual sanitary fee assessed and placed in front of the property.

Furniture and home appliances (white goods)
Furniture and home appliances can be picked up four times a year on designated service days free of charge.
- Please call at least 2 days before the scheduled date
- Remove refrigerator and dishwasher doors
- Place old appliances and furniture at the same nearby road edge as you would place garbage trucks, recycling, etc.

Collection of motor oil/filters and leak-free lead-acid batteries is available on scheduled service days.
Place items 5 feet away from the trash cart.
- Oil in transparent gallon container (milk jug type) with screw lid
- Filter in a clear plastic bag

Charlotte County residents can recycle six passenger car tires on the side of the road each year. Residents of unincorporated territories can leave their rimmed tires on the curb on recycling day.
Electronics (electronic waste)
Unwanted electronic equipment and e-waste can be picked up on regularly scheduled service days only upon request.
