Milford, Connecticut — Milford has announced the schedule for its Spring 2022 Mass Waste Collection Program.
The schedule is based on regular garbage collection days. Start dates are:
- Monday: Monday, May 2nd
- Tuesday: Monday, May 9
- Thursday: Monday, May 16th
- Friday: Monday, May 23rd
Bulk pick-up of condos will take place on June 15th.
Put similar items together in a bag or container. An item containing a container is taken.
Bulk pickup rules are as follows:
- Small amounts of bulky waste must be bagged or boxed
- Please put garbage in the garden in a disposable paper bag. (mowing is not allowed)
- Brushes and wood must be cut, knotted, and bundled to lengths of 4 feet or less
- Car tires (maximum 4) must be separated from other trash
- Metal should not exceed 4 feet in length and be segregated from other waste
- Electrical and white goods must be separated from other waste
- Bulky waste should be placed away from regular waste/recycling bins
- Bulky waste must be ready for collection by the Saturday prior to the scheduled collection
The following items are prohibited from bulk pick-up:
- hazardous waste
- Waste liquid containing oil paint
- propane tank
- Grass clippings, logs, stumps
- Sheetrock, concrete/cement, brick, porcelain tubs, sinks or toilets, and other demolition materials
