Kahl-175 picked up the weapon in Veilbreaker’s quest (and the end of The New War’s arc) to free his brother. And he does just that in the Junk Run Namer mission.
One of the Kahl-175’s Junk Run mission bonus objectives is to destroy five Narmer Veils. The first mission introduced players to Kahl’s new gadget, his Veilbreaker. After a short animation, Karl fires a pulse of energy at the enemy, stunning them and allowing Karl to break his veil.
Although the name is a little off-putting, the Veilbreaker will become one of the Kahl-175’s biggest assets in the Junk Run. The Veilbreaker not only stuns Deacon and keeps the veil off his face, but also allows Carl to remove his brother’s veil. Carl didn’t have much trouble breaking the veil in the first mission, but Junk has to be quick to break his veil over his older brother Namar in his run. Here’s what you need to know to free your brother in real his Kahl-175 fashion.
How to break the Narmervale in Karl’s Junk Run mission warframe
Pick up a Hellion Pack (essentially a Grineer version of a Jetpack) and Grineer enemies will shoot at you. Instead of the usual sentients such as “Battalyst”, their names read a combination of Grineer name and number, indicating that they are not enemies of the Sentients.
When you spot a Grineer, approach it and stun it with Veilbreaker (default 3). If you hit a target, interact with them to start breaking the veil. This requires tapping the button until you successfully tear the veil from the Grineer.
It’s not particularly tricky, but it can get tricky if you’re not careful because there are several factors involved. First, all Grineer enemies in Junk His Run are Hellions, which fly around the map. Second, missing Veilbreaker puts him on a 7 second cooldown. In other words, if you miss it, you can’t try again. Veilbreaker can stun enemies even if they are in the air, so if Hellion is stationary, use his third ability to stick him together and quickly break his Veil. The Grineer can then be ordered to be your ally throughout missions, attacking enemies or holding positions, similar to the Veilbreaker quest.
To reach this goal in Junk Run, you’ll need to defeat 5 veils, but the game throws out enough enemies. Grineer are relatively hardy and easily irritated when fighting in large numbers, so it’s a good idea to remove the Veil every time you perform a mission, even if you’ve achieved your objective. That’s all.
