Dear Popville
I have several neighbors who run garbage trucking businesses from their homes. They regularly park two beat-up pickup trucks full of junk in our street. Our street is his RPP zoning of the 2 hour parking lot MF.
But now they have procured a large flatbed tow truck and do street parking as well.
It has a VA plate and a huge boat on it. Residents’ parking spaces are occupied by him for two or three cars, partially blocking the road. It seems that this type of vehicle should not be allowed to park in residential areas consistently. I’ve looked through the options for reporting a 311 parking violation and can’t find one that seems suitable for reporting. Any ideas?
FWIW these same neighbors had their junk truck broken down and sat for months to get a ticket. They need to bring in a garbage truck to unload the truck bed first. They get free towing and disposal of wrecked cars, although they can’t even fix trash can lids.
I put an end to these guys using the streets as parking lots for their junk business with little thought or real consequences.
PS I respect the effort to get rid of the junk, but not at the expense of other neighbors.
