Jon Hamm rose to fame playing cynical advertising executive Don Draper on the hit show Mad Men. He is currently one of the most famous actors in the world he has appeared in such hits as ‘Black Mirror’, ‘Good Omens’ and the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. However, things weren’t always going well for the actor. Hamm was a teacher before he decided to roll the dice with an acting career. is not a high occupation (via Insider).
When Hamm first moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting dreams, he was in a battered 1985 Toyota Corolla. The Corolla has been an incredibly popular car for decades, offering both reliability and excellent fuel economy. However, it paints a pretty accurate picture of Hamm’s humble beginnings, not what you might think of when you think of Hollywood’s elite.
As you can imagine, he no longer has a Corolla. The “Mad Men” star amassed a reasonable amount of parking tickets and eventually the city repossessed his car. He paid the fine and couldn’t get it back, so he had to come up with a unique way to audition. There is excellent public transport.
