    Governor Bill Lee Bus Tour Huntingdon Nov 5

    The Governor Bill Lee Bus Tour will stop at the Carroll County Courthouse at 99 Court Square in Huntingdon on Saturday, November 5th from 10-11am in Huntingdon.

    Gleason Rotary Club BBQ Fundraiser 5 November

    The Rotary Club of Gleason will host its annual barbecue fundraiser on Saturday, November 5 at the Gleason Seniors Building at 120 North Cedar Street, Gleason. The plate comes with a BBQ sandwich, baked beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. You can buy a plate for $10, a pound of BBQ for $8, and a sandwich for $4. Pickup will begin at 10:30 AM and funds will be used to repair and maintain the Gleason Sr. Citizens Building.

    Mackenzie High School Recognizes Veterans November 11

    Mackenzie High School will celebrate Veterans Day on Friday, November 11th at 10am. Veterans are invited to arrive at 9:30 am and come through the gym entrance behind the high school (23292 TN-22, Mackenzie). Veterans are encouraged to stay after the program and enjoy lunch with students, faculty and staff.

    The Carroll County Library, 625 High Street, Suite 102, Huntingdon, has announced events for November. TOT times are scheduled for Tuesday, November 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 10:30 am Kids Coding Club will be on Monday, November 7 from 3:30-4:30 pm Home School Hangouts are scheduled for Thursday and Monday, November 10, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on November 21 Lego Club Thursday, November 10, at 3:30 pm Creative Corner Adult Crafting Hour Saturday, November 12, 10:00 AM To celebrate Agricultural Literacy Week on November 13, a special program offered by the Farm Bureau-19 will include milking wooden cows, butter making, and junk food vs. “superfoods.” ” includes bingo, educational crop programs, and farmer-themed TOT time. Anime Club on Thursday, November 17th from 4-5:30pm Character Book Club and Coffee on Saturday, November 19th at 10am Tinker Tuesday STEM/STEAM Activities on November 22nd at 3pm It’s 30:30 pm The library will be closed on Veterans Day November 11th and Thanksgiving November 24-26.     The Henry Baptist Church will host the Bethel Renaissance Bluegrass Group on Sunday, November 13, at The Henry Baptist Church, 20 College Street, Henry. During the event period, we will accept love offerings.

    First Cp Church Bazaar, Turkey, Dressing Sale

    The First Cumberland Presbyterian Church will host its annual bazaar and turkey and dressing sale on Saturday, November 19, from 9am to 2pm. Church Office 731-352-2440. The casserole is ready to be cooked or frozen. Pickup times are Saturday, November 19th from 10am to 12pm at the kitchen behind the church. Parking is available behind the church.

    West Carroll School Board To Meet

    The West Carroll Special School District (WCSSD) Board of Trustees will meet on Thursday, November 3, at 6:00 pm in the West Carroll Junior/Senior High School cafeteria. The agenda includes discussion and approval of Preston Caldwell, Principal of WCSSD, and a request for contract renewal. Other topics include Beta his club field trips, WCSSD crisis and emergency preparedness plans, policy updates, and principal updates.

    Mackenzie VFW Annual Breakfast Fundraiser

    Mackenzie Foreign War Veterans (VFW) and Auxiliary Post 4939 will host an annual breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 9750 Cherrywood Road, McKenzie. Breakfast starts at 5am and costs $10 per adult and $6 per child, with proceeds going to children in need at Christmas. For more information, contact VFW at 731-207-1027.

    Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen

    On the third Tuesday of each month, the Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen serves food at First Presbyterian Church, 19835 E. Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant-style, with a drive-thru available after 6pm. It is open to the public and there is no charge. We are accepting donations. All are invited.

    Our mission is to create an atmosphere of community where individuals can come and have food and a comfortable environment. We encourage friendly conversation, prayer and laughter.     The Carroll County Commission meets monthly

    The Carroll County Commission meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the conference room of the Carroll County Office Complex on High Street in Huntingdon. There are no regular meetings in December, February and July.
