The City of Bloomington’s Spring 2022 free bulk pick-up of trash begins Monday. This includes furniture, alteration debris, and other household waste, excluding food waste.
It starts with Zone One Blue and pickups run until May 13th.
Citizens can use this interactive map to see which zone they live in and what days of the week a pickup is scheduled. The Department of Public Works will update the site with any changes.
Also, depending on the number of materials and the weather, the pick-up date may change. Residents can also sign up for updates here.
Public Works requires materials to be laid out behind curbs in separate piles by 6 a.m.
They also ask that you bring large amounts of brushes and leaves to the Civic Convenience Center at 402 S. East St.
Once this seasonal event is complete, Public Works will resume regular brush leaf and bulk collections at $25 per bucket.
