Here are junk pickups across Columbia City residential neighborhoods for 2021.
April 30, 2021 west side, 1 day only!
May 7, 2021 east side, 1 day only!
Junk will only be picked up on Fridays!
All junk is collected where regular trash is placed for collection. He must not drop off the item two weeks in advance of the scheduled junk pickup. Nothing is picked up in the alley unless this is a designated weekly garbage collection point. No exceptions allowed! Please put out all junk by 5am on the day of pickup. Junk Cleanup Day is only once a year and the pass is his only. No return trip. Do not allow anyone to dump junk on your property (Decree No. 53/26).
The city is divided by Main Street (ST RD 9).
The west side of the city includes the lot west of St. Rd. 9 (main streets) within the city limits, including Heritage Place/Chesapeake Landing, Wilkeswood, Wood Dale, Deer Chase. The east side of the city includes the lot east of St. Rd. 9 (main streets) including Eagle Glen, Irish Glen, Countryside Mobile Home Park, off Hannah Street within the city limits.
The following items are free of charge.
tire (up to 15 in total), Stovetops, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, dishwashers, refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, batteries, and other electrical appliances.butYou are Must Call City Hall at 260-248-5100 May 7, 2021 (Items will be picked up throughout the week) Register to pick up these items. These items will be picked up on May 10th (must be shipped by 5am). If you fail to follow the procedure, you will not be able to pick up the product and will be responsible for disposing of it.

Shingles, concrete, bricks, wet paint, big piles of construction materials, yard waste.
(Additionally, these items should not be placed in the trash. )
Building materials, carpets, etc. Must not exceed 6 feet in length. No items over 6 feet will be picked up at the residence.People who demolish buildings such as sheds, garages, or remodel large areas should personally contract with a ‘roll-off’ trash hauler. Pick up opened and dried paint cans.
