Yara Marine wins Environmental Award 2022 for FuelOpt product.
Nominations for the Environmental Awards recognize individuals, companies or institutions that have found solutions to environmental challenges or problems within the tanker industry.
Yara Marine was nominated alongside RWO for its oil-water separator OWS-PT for large tankers, and Berg Propulsion was nominated for its MPC800 controllable pitch and thruster control system. The Environmental Awards were sponsored by Chevron.
Yara Marine has had a busy 2022. This included contracting her Stolt Tankers, a chemical tanker operator, to equip Yara’s FuelOpt propulsion optimization technology on her seven tankers.
Yara Marine also introduced new products to its ship optimization portfolio. Route Pilot AI is a cloud-based, AI-powered vessel operational support system that uses high-frequency data to calculate the most advantageous propulsion settings for future voyages.
