The addition of the Environmental Sciences Building was added to the capital expenditure plan after recent state funding was granted to the university after recent emergency repairs.
According to an agenda document shared by the Board, the environmental science building project will begin in 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2025.
Other projects and expenditures included in the Capital Expenditure Plan under the Academic and Other Facilities category include a $14 million renovation to the university’s Science West Building scheduled for 2026-2028 and Includes $8.94 million alumni-related projects from 2020 to 2028.
