China launched a new satellite, Yunhai-3, for environmental monitoring on Saturday.
The satellite aboard the Long March 6A rocket launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern China’s Shanxi province at 6:52 a.m. and successfully entered its pre-set orbit.

The satellite will be used for atmospheric, oceanic, and space environment monitoring, disaster prevention and mitigation, and scientific experiments.
It was the 448th launch of the Long March rocket series.
