Lansing facility a ‘total loss’ following Monday morning fire

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – A firefighter suffered minor injuries in a fire at a recycling and garbage disposal facility Monday morning.

Authorities said the fire started around 4 a.m. at J & M Hauling, a garbage collection and bin rental on Kalamazoo Street.

Officials said the building was a total loss.

The injured firefighter was treated at the scene and is safe.
