Venice, Florida (WWSB) – If you are a Venice City resident with minor damage to your landscape and a minimal amount of storm debris such as small branches, leaves, and moss, place these items on a regular curb. It is advisable to properly prepare the garden. waste collection.
This collection is subject to change as staffing permits.
Note that this garden waste collection is separate from that of storm debris contractor Crowder Gulf. Debris contractors are solely responsible for collecting bulk debris from Hurricane Ian.
Small items tend to fall off grapples used for debris collection and may require additional curb cleanup by homeowners once bulky nutrient storm debris has been removed. Additionally, grapples can damage your landscaping if the amount of material you pick up is minimal.
Properly prepared leaves and twigs (less than 4 feet long and weighing less than 40 pounds in paper bags or containers) are collected with normal yard waste. Paper bags should be placed for collection separately from bulky plant debris.
