This week’s storms in Tri-Counties may be a thing of the past, but cleanup efforts continue.
Santa Barbara’s harbor and waterfront areas were hit by a combination of large swells and storm surges. The storm surge threw sand and debris into several parking lots. Some are still closed due to ongoing cleanup efforts.
Goleta Peach County Park was also damaged, with sand falling on the parking lot and damage to a beachfront restaurant.
High waves closed the coastal rail line in the Carpinteria area on Thursday, and the waves actually hit the rails.
