VDOT has updated its list of highway works that could affect traffic in the Stanton area in the coming weeks.
The Stanton area is made up of 11 counties from Allegany Highlands to the northern Shenandoah Valley (Allegany, Bath, Rockbridge, Highlands, Augusta, Rockingham, Page, Shenandoah, Frederick, Clark and Warren).
The work may change depending on the weather and the availability of materials. Drivers are advised to watch out for slow-moving tractors during mowing operations. As you pass through the work zone, be aware of periodic traffic pattern changes and lane closures.
Vegetation management may take place throughout the district by various routes. Motorists are reminded to exercise extreme caution when passing through work zones.
