October 20, 2022 – At a Wednesday press conference in Maximo Park, St. Petersburg city officials said storm debris removal was about 40 percent complete. Workers have been collecting his 40,000 cubic yards of vegetation since Hurricane Ian made landfall on his Sept. 28, and Ken Welch said the cleanup will continue for another three weeks.
