    Milwaukee Leaf Collection Deadline Extended

Leaves need to be raking in the street by the end of November 20th.

The City of Milwaukee has announced an extension for residents to rake leaves into the streets. Residents now have until the end of Sunday, November 20, to rake leaves in the streets for the Department of Public Works (DPW) to pick up. This extension will give us an additional five days as more leaves are expected to fall due to the cold weather. If leaves remain after the final cleaning of the city is completed, the leaves can be mulched with the lawn, composted, or taken to the city’s drop-off center for composting. Leaves and brushes, like other garden waste, are prohibited from landfills and cannot be placed in garbage or recycling carts. Leave a 1-foot gap between foliage and curb.
