County administrator Scott Hopes said the first pass to pick up debris that had piled up on the side of the road Tuesday morning is expected to begin Friday.
The county is repairing 1,600 signs, 750 of which are stop signs that are down or leaning.
He said the county has made progress to complete numerous repairs, including repairs to all lift stations, but 62 traffic lights are still damaged.
State Highway 70, which connects Manatee and DeSoto counties, remains closed and the road is covered with water.
Other roads he said remain closed are Wachula Road and Craigary Road, one mile north of Burrard Road, both in the city of Myakka.
He also said Jim Davis Road, north of Myakka City, is closed at the bridge crossing and is expected to reopen soon.
