On the morning of October 29th, the city held its third American Recycle Day @ Boneyard Creek Cleanup event. His 34 volunteers, including groups from the Uni High TREE Club and West Haven Neighborhood Watch, attended and made the event a huge success. With the help of our volunteers, mattresses, scooters, TVs, broken furniture, blankets, paper, plastic materials, Styrofoam, cigarette butts (the most littered item in the world). Such events help remove unwanted and harmful debris from waterways.
America Recycles Day, an initiative of Keep America Beautiful, takes place nationwide on November 15th.th To promote and celebrate recycling in the United States. Each Keep America Beautiful affiliate community will host an event tailored to their unique needs in late October or early November. Our local event was an opportunity to raise awareness for our national Recycle Day efforts in America.
