    Liberty sends third team to Florida to help clean up Ian

    LU Serve Now, a Liberty University disaster relief initiative, sent a group of 15 students and two leaders to Inglewood, Florida, January 8-14 to help those affected by Hurricane Ian. dispatch the

    Two teams were sent to Inglewood on separate weeks in November. As with these trips, the next trip will involve clearing a large amount of debris. Once the debris is cleared, residents will be able to begin rebuilding their neighborhoods, Liberty said in a statement.

    The trip will take place during the last week of Liberty’s Christmas break before classes begin on January 16th.

    Radford Appoints New Vice President of Finance and Administration

    Radford University has appointed a new Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration.     DCC students can now use TimelyCare on their mobile phone or other device to choose from a menu of virtual care options from licensed counselors, free of charge and without the hassle of traditional insurance.

    According to a statement from Danville Community College, 60% of all students who sought mental health support through TimelyCare said they would have done nothing if the service was not available.

    Mechanical Engineering Evening Classes at NRCC Offered Spring 2023

    New River Community College plans to offer a group of evening mechanical technology courses in the Spring 2023 semester.

    Courses include MAC 106 – Machine Shop Operations, MAC 107 – Technology of Machining, MAC 215 – Machining Techniques, and MAC 217 – Precision Machining Techniques. All four courses are 8 credit hours each.

    Classes are held Monday through Thursday evenings from 6:15 pm to 10:00 pm at the NRCC’s Dublin campus. His first day of class is Monday, January 23rd. NRCC faculty member Warren Crandall will teach his 14-week course.
