Good evening, islanders.
This message is to inform you that starting Monday, October 17, 2022 at 7:00 am, the Town will begin clearing yard waste from Hurricane Ian.
Governor McMaster declared a state of emergency on Sept. 28, and although the storm landed north of Sullivan’s Island in Georgetown County, Charleston County’s damage levels did not qualify for natural disaster relief through FEMA. . Therefore, Charleston County did not activate debris removal contractors as it had in previous storms. So the town contracted All Green Landscape Services LLC to remove all organic matter. The work will have him working 10 hours a day using two grapple trucks and is expected to take him four to five days to complete.
All Green Landscape Services LLC is a highly respected, locally owned and operated company in Charleston County. We are sure you will be satisfied with its performance.
Remember, this collection is for yard waste only. All limbs must be less than 8 inches in diameter and less than 6 feet in length.
It is important not to put any waste on top of the water meter to prevent damage.
If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this email or contact City Hall.
nice to meet you,
Andy Benke
