Frankfort, Kentucky (WYMT) – Deadline to move debris to state or county right-of-way or designated community drop-off site if you’re still cleaning up from the historic late July floods is approaching.

The crew is conducting the final round of debris collection. Debris must be moved to a state or county right-of-way or drop-off site by November 1st.

This applies to Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Knott, Letcher, Perry and Pike counties.

If you miss the November 1 deadline, you will be asked to call your county financial court to arrange for debris removal with a contractor of your choice.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will continue to remove damaged vehicles on public right-of-way or waterways that impede public access or threaten infrastructure.
