Moscow — When the leaves start to fall, the city of Moscow wants to remind residents to keep leaves and other debris off the streets and prevent them from clogging stormwater transport systems. and can lead to localized flooding. Leaf rot can also increase the nutrient load in local waterways as rainwater drains directly into waterways.

The city of Moscow offers residents two options to help clean up autumn leaves. Residents can drop off their leaves at any time to the 24-hour yard waste drop-off site on N. Almon St. just behind Moscow Recycling.

Residents who are unable to depart for the Yard Waste Dropoff can schedule a pickup service from the Inland North Waste on November 5th or 19th. before the desired date of receipt. For pick-up service on November 5th, the resident must call INW before noon on November 3rd. For pick-up service on November 19th, the resident must call INW before noon on November 17th.

Residents can find information about the Autumn Leaf Collection and other City of Moscow hygiene programs by visiting the Sanitation page of the City of Moscow website: https://www.ci.moscow.id. For more information, call Public Health Operations Manager Tim Davis at 208-883-7131.
