The City of Huntingburg’s Street Department is holding a Fall Cleanup Day on Thursday, October 13, from 1:00 to 7:00 pm. Friday, October 14, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at 1103 E 1st Street, Huntingburg. “Fall Cleanup Day” gives city residents the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted items.

Costs are $5 per car, $10 per truck, $10 per trailer under 8 feet, and $20 per trailer over 8 feet. Car tires without rims are $4. $10 for heavy truck and tractor tires (15 inches and above). $10 for the mattress. $10 for an upholstered chair. $15 sofa.

Small, loose items must be received in a garbage bag. Small items are anything less than 12-18 inches. There is a $1 fee per trash bag.

Electronic devices such as televisions cannot be accepted as computer towers; monitors; etc. due to the cost associated with mass disposal.

Refrigerators, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, and other items that contain CFCs require a certified plumber’s certificate to show that CFCs have been removed. We do not accept wood, plywood, asphalt shingles, or other construction debris.

“Fall Cleanup Day” is for Huntingburg residents only. A utility bill and ID are required. The City of Huntingburg reserves the right to refuse any item.

For more information, contact the Huntingburg Street Department at 812-683-4122.
