The idea for Honest Junk Removal came from Jim’s experience in general contracting. Before embarking on a kitchen or basement remodeling project, there was often junk that needed to be hauled. Jim was asked by his customer if he could provide the service, so he did.
Even before Jim and his business partner Ben Boland sold their contracting business, they came up with the idea of ”Junk Removal” as an independent business. commercial real estate, and do it all in a professional manner.

“It’s the same thing I loved from the general contract side – customer interactions. I had customers for 25 years. Customer retention was 100%. One project for them. If we did, we would be doing five or six more projects over the years.”
He said choosing the right employees makes a difference. The result is a quality team.
“We’re very selective. We’re looking for quality people,” Jim said. “We are a great company to work for. We are a good group to be around.
Jim and Ben are cousins and share the same life principles.
“We both come from long families of self-employment, and we all have the same mindset about how we do things,” Jim said. “The easiest way to be successful is to get a customer and keep that customer forever. When we get a customer, it’s for life.”
